The 9th round of the “Bicycle in Addis” festival organized by the Addis Ababa Transport Bureau in collaboration with the Tourism Commission, the Youth and Sports Bureau, and NEF Communication was held on May 2, 2018 in a grand manner. On this program, which was spread from Urael to Wollo Sefer, bicycle lovers, children, youth, and families rode bicycles and accompanied the non-motorized transportation movement of our city.
This monthly festival, in addition to a sports competition, is creating a great potential for our work to make Addis Ababa a livable and pollution-free city. On the same day, a championship of clubs, youth, and former cyclists was held, with the participation of more than 200 athletes, and English Premier League fans also gave a special highlight to the festival by participating in the competition.
Our office will continue to work hard to promote such public participation platforms, develop a bicycle transportation culture in our city, and protect the health of our residents. The winners of this round will be determined in the 10th round of the final competition, and the festival will continue to be held on the last Sunday of every month.
